Well, I don't think I did much. I did succeed in waking up around 8:00 now. I think that's good for some mysterious reason. Though I must admit that I enjoy not having to rush to class. Though, today in particular was quite a lazy day. I definitely woke up at 10:20 and then proceeded to take two naps while reading my Anthropology book for this week's discussions. Anyway, back to sleep cycle related stuff, I think I'm starting to develop rather normal sleep patterns, which I think is good. Maybe? I don't know. We shall see.
On Thursday, I started volunteering at the hospital again. This quarter I'm working with a neurologist conducting research on neuromuscular disease. Anyway Thursday, I got to the hospital (oh and by the way, much more convenient to volunteer at the main campus than at one of the satellite areas, you don't have to wait for buses) and I found out that the doctor that I was suppose to help had to go to the clinic, so I helped someone else, who was also in neuromuscular research. The first job she had me do was pretty simple. Well... it would have been really easy if I knew how to use correction tape. Yeah... after about half an hour, I figured out how to use correction tape. I feel so proud of myself. The next job the lady had me do was more difficult surprisingly. So clinical trials are reputed to have many protocols and loads of paperwork. It became my responsiblility to make several sets of paperwork for a few of the new test subjects. At first, things were ok, the copy machine worked pretty well, except when I forgot to change the setting once. On my fourth trip to the copier though, I think that I either added too many settings or the copier just got tired of me. It got mad at me and then proceeded to start jamming after every other sheet that it copied. So this nice lady (I don't quite know what position she holds) came out and led me to this other printer that was huge and much more technologically advanced than the one that I was using. However, this printer was just mad at me to begin with and proceeded to print off pink paper that appeared out of nowhere. I definitely checked all three trays and filled them all with white paper, yet for some reason, I still could only manage to get pink paper to come out of the copier. Anyway, point of the story is that I managed to break every single copier in the neurology department. Please don't blame me :( I didn't do it on purpose. Needless to say, after an hour and a half of messing around with the copiers, I decided to call it a day. Well, there's always next week?
Then last night, I went to Lennox Commons with Angela, Brigette and Vanessa. I had to go to Staples so I could buy some ink pens (yay Uni-ball!), however I had to trade that off with going to Bath and Body Works. After those two stores, we decided to go to Target, where we walked around and then ate dinner. I am about 100% sure that I will never eat food prepared by Target again (sorry if I offended any Target food fans, Target employees or Target employers). The girls wanted to go to a nearby shoe store, but luckily for me, it was already closed. Instead we went to World Market, which is this store with a bunch of random merchandise from around the world. I get so tempted to buy this Norweigan water everytime I go. I also spent a few minutes trying to persuade Angela and Brigette to buy a two foot martini glass to put this dying betta fish in. After failing, we all went to Petco, where they had to buy a replacement betta fish. I think I'm going to start raising a seventeen cent fish sometime soon. I also want a fish tank built into my house when I grow up. To top off my visit to Petco, I also saw this awesome fish tank, that I must admit is cooler than the coolest fish bowl I had seen before (Marie's Mac fish tank). The pictures are below. Yes, I did take those pictures with my phone :)
Too bad next week, I'll be studying for my Anthropology exam at this time. That means I'll have to miss House possible. *sad*
